- The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Upper Great Plains Region (UGPR), intends to award a contract on a sole-source basis to Truck Suppliers INC for transfer case and driveline repair. This contract will result in a firm fixed price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procure ment. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 25 August 2014, at 12:00 pm CST to be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811111; Size Standard is $7.0. The basis for the sole source award to Truck Suppliers INC is outlined in the Single Source Justification attached.
