- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on FEDBIZOPPS (www.fbo.gov). The RFQ number is N39040-14-T-0339. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-72 and DFARS Change Notice 20130311. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 333517 is 500 employees. This solicitation is sole-sourced to Equipois, LLC (CAGE 73CJ4) due to unique patented features that allow a tool to be rotated in any direction and angle without the aid of motors or hydraulics. The arms will be used to supports tools that will be used on board submarines and other areas that do not lend themselves to the use of hydraulic or motorized devices. The requirement includes training, which must be provided by the OEM. Only quotations received from the sole-sourced OEM will be considered for award. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Code 410 Contracting requests a quotation from the sole source OEM to provide the following: QTY ITEM 2 101-5000-21 zerG4 Std. Two Link Arm with RH Centering 2 300-2200 Arm Cover Kit 2 Training (2 each 8 hour training sessions within 1 year of delivery) 2 400-1170 Post Rotation Lock 2 500-4200 Preset 2-Axis Mount 2 400-0135-03 SI Ring Configuration RG 180EX, Small (3.08" I.D., 7.8 cm) Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control.
