- Description
- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a Firm Fixed Price type Service requirement to provide United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) with the determination of gene sequences of affinity matured small chain variable fragments (scFv) to an extracellular domain (ECD) of a mouse red blood cell (RBC) membrane protein. The scope of work is to develop in vivo persistent bioscavengers. Work for this effort will include tasks that are related to and will include the maturation of an anti-murine ECD RBC membrane protein scFv single chain and to provide the gene structures of these matured proteins. The means of the work will be to mutate the TER119 gene sequence, express a library of mutated genes and selection of those with improved binding characteristics to identify high-affinity single domain binders. The identified high-affinity scFv genes will then be sequenced. This work shall be performed as based on the requirements provided in the Performance Work Statement that is included in the Solicitation. This requirement is Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The size standard classification is 500, and the NAICS code is 541711. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, 20 August 2014 and will only be available until 08 September 2014. Specifics of the requirement are provided in pending solicitation number: W81XWH-14-T-0459. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website and responding to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov. The required Representations and Certification shall be made available under the SAM system. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. Potential offerors are required to direct all questions regarding the requirement to the Contract Specialist at brandon.m.roebuck.civ@mail.mil by No Later Than 3:30 PM EST on 29 August 2014.
