- Industry Day Announcement The Project Manager for Joint Services Product Manager for Demilitarization Division (PM Demil), Headquarters Joint Munitions Command (HQ JMC), and Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) will be hosting an Industry Day to provide information on the planned acquisition and gather feedback from industry for the demilitarization of various families of conventional ammunition, Request for Proposal (RFP) W52P1J-14-R-0040. The following is a list of the families of conventional ammunition that will be included in the RFP: 25 mm Cartridges and 30 mm Cartridges 40 mm Cartridges 105 mm Cartridges Projectiles filled with Explosive D 155 mm Projectiles with Family of Scatterable Mines (FASCAM) Self-Destruct Mines Cluster Bomb Units (CBUs) including Navy Gators 60 mm Mortar Cartridges 81 mm Mortar Cartridges 4.2 inch Mortar Cartridges 120 mm Mortar Cartridges 105 mm and 120 mm Depleted Uranium (DU) Cartridges 155 mm Improved Conventional Munitions (ICMs) Projectiles 8 inch ICMs Projectiles Volcano canisters with FASCAM and loose FASCAM Mines The Industry Day will be held on 16-17 September 2014. At this time the exact times and locations are unknown. For planning purposes, please use The Club at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey as the location for the first day events (Industry Day and first group of One-on-one Sessions) and Building 1 as the location for the second day. Once the location and times are finalized, an amendment will be posted with the pertinent information. The draft RFP W52P1J-14-R-0040 will be available at the following internet address no later than 29 August 2014: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&tab=core&id=cc09569e2de9ce45b3f2a85f215ad7e6 It is requested that all participants review the draft RFP prior to Industry Day, and submit any specific questions and/or comments regarding the draft RFP via email. All questions submitted prior to Industry Day must be e-mailed to Ms. Bridget Kramer with the following subject line quote mark Industry Day Question - W52P1J-14-R-0040 quote mark. Questions submitted via facsimile or telephone will not be accepted. Please do not ask any question that discloses proprietary information since all questions and answers will be shared with all participants. There will be time allowed on Industry Day for any additional questions and/or comments that may arise. All questions that are received prior to Industry Day, as well as those addressed during Industry Day will be posted on the FedBizOps website (link to be provided at a later date). The Government intends on having one-on-one sessions with all offerors that are interested once the Industry Day presentation and general discussions have ended. These must be scheduled prior to Industry Day. When registering your company please include if you plan to have a one-on-one session with the Government. A scheduled time will be assigned to your company prior to the start of Industry Day. These sessions will be scheduled every half hour. The following topics will be discussed at the pre-solicitation conference: 1) Acquisition Strategy a. Contract Type b. Evaluation Criteria c. Terms and Conditions 2) Requirements a. Families and Types of Ammunition b. Estimated Quantities/Delivery Schedule c. Technical Data Packages 3) Milestones Please note this invitation is open to all interested parties including small businesses and attendance is strongly encouraged. Advanced registration for the Industry Day is required and must be received by Ms. Bridget Kramer no later than 1500 CST 26 August 2014. Firms interested in sending representatives to attend the Industry Day must register by sending their completed Registration Form (see attached). Each company may register up to four (4) personnel to attend the Industry Day. Additionally, foreign attendees shall submit formal request on company letterhead for visit notification in accordance with the attached Program Executive Office (PEO) Ammunition Foreign Disclosure Requirements policy. Request letters must be received via email or fax by both the PEO Ammunition Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) and the Assistant FDO NLT 26 August 2014.
