Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are being requested via this synopsis and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF42188036 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business under NAICS code 334516 with employees not to exceed 500. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS, Environmental Laboratory has a requirement for the following: One (1) Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES) system. System must include: (a) argon plasma with the capable of operating over a range of gas flow rates, e.g. 8 to 15L/min. created by a solid state generator; (b) UV and VISIBLE spectral range of at least 160-900 nm and a minimum UV resolution of 0.007 nm; (c) ability to vieiw the palsma axially and radially; (d) must use solid state SCD detectors rather than CIDs or PMTs; (e) full spectra data collection for subsequent elemental analysis; (f) support a variety of interference correction capabilities, including inter-element correction (e.g.IEC), and multicomponent spectral fitting (e.g. MSF); (g) must have inert gas purged optics rather than vacuum or air-filled optics.
