- Notice of intent Notice of Intent # NIHOD2014036 Non-Human Primates Acquisition, testing, transportation and Housing The National Institutes of Health's Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on behalf of the Office of Intramural Research, intends to acquire: 13 - Pigtail Macaque, sub adult, SPF, male Primates in good health tested negative for B-Virus, SIV, SRV, STLV on a sole source basis from the University of Washington under NAICS code 112990. University of Washington has the Primates with the specifications requested and the appropriate expertise, infrastructure and operational capabilities to efficiently provide all Primates as the scientific investigator requires. University of Washington is a reputable educational institution dedicated to the furtherance of science and the general welfare of the population. This procurement will be done pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 3304 (a) (1) and FAR) 6.302- (1). Capability Statement Requirements and Delivery Instructions This notice of intent is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements, it may submit their quotes. The quotes, expected date of delivery and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the government to determine if the party can meet the requirement. Submissions will be evaluated based on (a) Staff expertise, (b) availability of Primates (c) Meet specifications (d) corporate experience and valid Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) assurance. Submission of Capability Statements: Quotes and related materials received by the Contract Specialist no later than Monday August 25, 2014 @ 10:00AM Eastern Time will be considered by the government. Responses received after the specified time and date will not be accepted. (a) Responses should be emailed to gerstels@mail.nih.gov.
