Description

12 point JOFOC SOW The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate a firm fixed price purchase order, on a sole source basis, with CARL ZEISS MICROSCOPY, Inc. of Pleasanton, CA for the purchase of the disassembly, packing, shipping, assembling, and re-installation of X-Ray Computed Tomography Scanner per the attached Statement of Work, under other than full and open competition by the authority of FAR subpart 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Sole Source determination is based on NIST, market research and per the attached SOW. Delivery is FOB Destination, Boulder, CO. The NAICS code for the proposed acquisition is 811219, with a Small Business size standard of $19M. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. The Government will consider responses received by 11:59 p.m. (MST) on August 20, 2014. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to patricia.bullington@nist.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
