- Weapons Cabinets This office is seeking sources for manufacturers who offer weapons cabinets equal to the ones produced by Stanley Vidmar illustrated in the attached document. Please see the required salient characteristics to be considered an equal product. • Cabinets must have a hinged locking mechanisms to secure contents • Must meet the requirements of paragraph 4 (a-d) of the Small Arms Storage Rack Certification Document, part of AR 190-11 for the physical security of arms, ammunition, and explosives; offerors must submit evidence products offered meet these requirements. • Weapons cradles must be configured to meet specific unit needs for proper storage of equipment and arms • Drawers/Cabinets must have the ability to be reconfigured into a variety of storage configurations if needed based on possible changes to the unit equipment or weapons authorization • Cabinet weapons racks must have the ability to adjust each individual slot to accomidate either from M16 or M4 rifles without modification to the rack. Adjustments are acceptable as long as tools are not required and parts are not changed. • Cabinets must be designed in such a way as to easily allow for movement or relocation of cabinets if needed • Top rack must interlock with bottom rack when stacked two high. • All lifting or connecting devices must be permanently affixed and must not protrude from weapons rack when not in use. • Weapons rack must be painted a subdued color suitable for a tactical environment. • Each individual weapon slot must have a durable protective coating to prevent damage to the weapons or equipment • Each drawer must have either a non skid surface, cradle type holder, or laser cut foam to hold equipment or weapons with minimal movement when the drawer is in motion • Vendor must provide a minimum of a five year warranty to include parts, workmanship, and labor. • Vendor must coordinate with the individual units for prior to equipment installation.
