- Measuring Broadband America Program RFI This RFI (Request for Information) is not a solicitation. This RFI is being issued to conduct market research for information and planning purposes. The objectives of this RFI are to understand the various technical solutions, understand data science implementations, understand various engineering approaches to measuring broadband access, and identification of potential service providers. The Federal Communication Commission ("FCC" or "Commission") is seeking information from vendors that can supply software, hardware and consulting services to support the Measuring Broadband America Program. The services will be used to manage and continue development of the measurement of broadband performance on US consumer's fixed (residential) and mobile (smartphone) broadband services. The specific services requested are set forth on the attached document entitled, Measuring Broadband America Program, Fixed and Mobile Broadband Measurement Request for Information (RFI). The FCC is requesting the following information from qualified contractors: • Description of the contractor's solution for each Test Management and Support of Technical and Software Platforms tasks described in Sections 6 and 7 of the attached document; • Whether the capability is available today or whether the proposed solution would have to be modified to meet the tasks described; • Description of the client, nature and scope of past work delivering each task related to for Test Management and Support of Technical and Software Platforms. Vendors responding to this RFI who currently can make solutions available to the FCC are requested to provide a description of capabilities. Please list any Government contracts that apply. Potential vendors may express interest, make comments, and ask questions via electronic mail to the FCC points of contact listed in the notice. All comments and questions must be in writing and must identify the company source, contact person, e-mail address, and telephone number.
