Description

This notice is provided to inform all potential candidates to provide bids at this time for the Renovate RF Rooms Construction Project. The Veterans Integrated Service Network #04 (VISN 04) Contracting Office / Erie Veteran Administration Medical Center issues the attached Invitation for Bid (IFB) and intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for Construction Services related to the Renovation of the RF Rooms, Project 562- 13-103 located at the Erie VA Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie PA 16504. All construction must be in compliance with applicable codes, VA policy/standards, and the terms of this solicitation and resultant contract. The contractor shall provide all tools, travel, trades, labor, materials, permits, licenses and supervision for construction of the Renovation of Radiology RF Rooms project as indicated in drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, laboratory equipment, utility systems, removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Proposals are due 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on September 16, 2014 in accordance with the attached solicitation. A public bid opening will take place at the Erie VA Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504. Bid opening will be held in the Main Hospital Building, Conference Room #3. All candidates arriving for the bid opening MUST check in with the Security Office located in the entrance to the Emergency Care Clinic. A Site Visit is planned for Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm EST. Meeting will be held in the Main Hospital Building, Conference Room #3. All candidates arriving for the site visit MUST check in with the Security Office located in the entrance to the Emergency Care Clinic. This project is being solicited as a TOTAL 100 % SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220, with a small business size standard of $36.5 million in annual receipts for the past three years. The Magnitude of Construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00.
