- Request for Information (RFI) Cellular Node Product__ DUE: __15 SEPTEMBER_2014___ The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 55250/43330 is seeking information on a commercially-available CELLULAR NODE PRODUCT FOR THE MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS VEHICLE PROJECT. The Cellular Node Product must be capable of the following: 1. Providing 2G and 3G Verizon cellular network coverage (optional 4G) 2. Interoperable with Verizon off the shelf commercial cellular phones 3. Ability to restrict service to authorized users only (provide a description of how to implement the authorized users list, as well as a description of any circumstances where unauthorized users may have access to the cellular node) 4. Providing connectivity for a minimum of 5 authorized users assuming appropriate bandwidth is available (describe bandwidth requirements and the maximum number of users) 5. Ability to operate CONUS (threshold) and OCONUS (objective) (describe any restrictions/limitations on where the device can operate) 6. Providing cell coverage in a minimum radius of 300 feet (describe operational range) 7. Describe ability (or inability) to operate on-the-move 8. Interoperable with Verizon frequencies and Verizon Macro-cell coverage. Phone must be able to seamlessly switch between the cell bubble and Verizon macro signal cell-coverage. 9. Describe the initialization time required before the unit is operational 10. Describe what GPS information is sent through the network 11. External antenna connections (describe antenna connections) 12. Describe the size of the unit (drawings/pictures preferred), weight, and power requirements of the unit 13. Describe the availability of the device (e.g. readily available off-the-shelf or a certain amount of developmental time required) Review of this information is being performed by SSC-LANT Code 55250/43330, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of commercial cellular node products to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SSC-LANT documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a description of features. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SSC-LANT projects. If a SSC-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency.
