Description
THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate with Digital Intelligence, Inc., 17165 West Glendale Drive, New Berlin, WI 53151 for the procurement of a Forensic Recovery of Evidence Data Center on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. CBP Laboratory and Scientific Services in Chicago has a requirement for the procurement and installation of Forensic Recovery of Evidence Data Center (FREDC) consisting of a Forensic File Server, Forensic Recovery of Evidence Device Rack mount, Database Server Option, and training. The FREDC system is solely manufactured by Digital Intelligence. Digital Intelligence is the only source which offers the FREDC which contains high-end processing capabilities and large storage Redundant Array of Independent Disks arrays along with specialized write-blocking equipment used to maintain the evidence integrity of all original digital media during forensic exams. The Lab currently has four FRED workstation units that will integrate with the FREDC system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334111 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Digital Intelligence. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice is not a request for competitive proposal. It is anticipated that the order will be awarded to Digital Intelligence Incorporated on or about August 22, 2014. If any interested person believes it can meet the above requirement, they may identify their interest and capability via e-mail. The capability statement must include sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. All responses may be e-mailed to Edna.M.Simmons@cbp.dhs.gov. Verification of receipt of response is the sole responsibility of the interested person. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement based on any responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responsive statements are received by August 21, 2014 at 9:00am EDT, an award will be made to Digital Intelligence.
