Description
Statement of Work SEEKING SOURCES PLEASE REVIEW STATEMENT OF WORK STATEMENT OF WORK UPGRADE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INTERSECTIONS Truemper St & Kenly Ave and Truemper St & Carswell Ave LACKLAND AFB TX. 1. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, labor, supervision and other services necessary to replace the antiquated traffic signals at Truemper St & Carswell Ave and Truemper St & Kenly Ave. 2. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Traffic signals at TRUEMPER & KENLY; Contractor shall replace 8 pedestrian signals with countdown LED type signals. Replace 8 pedestrian push buttons. Replace controller and cabinet. Replace 4 VIVDS cameras & processors. Install battery backup system. Re-use all existing signal cables. Traffic signal at TRUEMPER & CARSWELL; replace 6 pedestrian signals with countdown LED type signals. Replace 6 pedestrian push buttons. Replace controller & cabinet. Replace 4 VIVDS cameras & processors. Install battery backup system. Modify existing controller foundation to raise one FT (1'). Install 9C #14 signal cable to new pedestrian signal/button location. Install ped pole assembly with foundation. Install 2" schedule 40 PVC conduit to tie-in new ped pole. Re-use all existing signal cables. Provide training for controllers and VIVDS system operation. 2.1 Provide government representative with 2 copies each of Shop Drawings, Manufacturer Warranties, Catalog Data and Operating Instructions. 3. GENERAL INFORMATION. 3.1. POWER OUTAGE: Contractor shall notify exterior electric supervisor, Mr. Ronald Lee at 210-671-3093 or Mrs. Marilyn Lambert at 210-671-2288 of any power outages required. No power outages shall be performed without previous notification and approval of above personnel. 3.2. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED SERVICES: The government will provide utilities (water and electricity). 3.3. POLICE PROTECTION: Security Forces Squadron will provide traffic control during signal outages for switching from old controllers to the new, security and law enforcement response to the contractor. 3.4. FIRE PROTECTION: The Lackland Fire Departments shall provide initial response, EMS, and fire protection services to the Contractor. 3.5. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor shall be bonded, licensed, and properly insured. Contractor shall provide proof of bonding, license, and insurance to the Government upon request. 3.6. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS: Contractor employees shall comply with all base traffic regulation and are subject to random vehicle speed control checks. Contractor's personnel cited for speeding on installation may suffer loss of base driving privileges, debarment from the base, or other administrative action. The use of cell phones, except hands-free phones, is prohibited while driving on military installations in San Antonio, TX. 3.7. INSPECTION: A final inspection will be conducted between the Contractor and Mrs. Marilyn Lambert. Contractor shall provide the Government a written warranty for the repair or replacement of all equipment installed, starting from the date of completion of the installation. 3.8. HOURS: All work shall be performed during normal duty hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No work shall be performed during Federal Holidays. 3.9. CLEAN-UP: Contractor will ensure the work area is kept clean and free of debris at all times. C ontractor shall dispose of all contractor generated waste at an off-base city or State approved d isposal site.
