- Must fill out cover sheet when responding Request For Quotation Issue Date: 13 August 2014 REQUEST FOR QUOTE PROJECT: HIGH SECURITY SHREDDER RFQ CLOSE DATE: 4:00 P.M. EST ON 22 August 2014 REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE: 30 DAYS ARO The Government intends on issuing a purchase order/delivery order to the quoter that represents the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The following will be considered when determining technical acceptability: •· Adherence to the minimum functional characteristics This is a notice that this is a Total Set Aside for Small Business and must be applicable with NAICS code 333249 and have a size standard of 500 employees. Other NAICS codes will be accepted on a cases by case basis. Only quotes submitted by Small Businesses will be considered by the Government. Any quote that is submitted by a contractor that is not Small Business will not be considered for award. The provision 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) apply. (http://www.arnet.gov/far/) "Equal" items must meet the below listed salient, physical, functional, or performance characteristics of the brand name item in order to be acceptable for award. **Manufacturer's Brand Name, is for descriptive and informational purposes only to reflect the features essential to the minimum needs of the government. ** REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: CLIN ITEM M/F PART NUMBER QTY U/I UNIT PRICE TOTAL AMOUNT High Security Shredder The Whitaker Brothers DSC 36/6 2 EA Minimum Functional Characteristics: Cutting Style shall be: PAPER Cross Cut OPTICAL MEDIA Cross Cut Shred Size shall be no more than: 1/32" x 3/16" (Level 6) 1/16" x 5/32" Feed Capacity shall be no less than: 14 - 15 sheets* 1 CD Speed shall be no less than: 23 fpm 2,000 CDs per hour Feed Opening shall be no less than: 9 3/8" 4 7/8" Bin Capacity shall be no less than: 31 gal. 18.5 gal. Dimensions shall be no more than: 28" W x 24" D x 43" H Security Level shall be no less than: Level 6 (HIPAA Compliant) •· Shall contain two separate feed opening and separate bins for disposal of paper and optical media. •· Shall meet the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-01 for High Security Cross-Cut Paper Shredders as well as NSA/CSS Specification 04-02 for Optical Media Destruction Devices. •· Shall have dual feed openings: One for paper, one for media •· Shall have an internal automatic oiling system that lubricates cutting blades for optimal performance The Government reserves the right to award no contract at all, depending on the quality of quotes submitted and availability of funds. A quote will be considered non-responsive if technical acceptability is not met. Award will be made on an all or none basis. FAILURE TO SUBMIT THE REQUIRED ATTACHMENT AND INFORMATION MAY RESULT IN YOUR QUOTE BEING CONSIDERED NON-RESPONSIVE. Please describe how your products/services support DOD Sustainable Acquisition Goals. This includes products that meet the following criteria: energy-efficient and water-efficient, bio-based, environmentally preferable, non-ozone depleting, are made with recovered materials, or use renewable energy technologies. If products/services are not sustainable, but your company engages in sustainable practices, please describe them. Please submit your quotations via e-mail to Marcus.Schnars@usmc.mil Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that quotes (and any authorized ammendments) reach the designated office on time and should allow a reasonable time for e-mail transmissions to be completed. All pages of the quote must reach the office before the deadline specified in this solicitation. The quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of electronically transmitted quotations and should confirm receipt.
