Description: This notice is a sources sought notice for a requirement at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. This notice is being issue to determine interested vendors and to help establish an appropriate set aside if applicable. Please note that this is NOT a Request For Quote (RFQ) and submission of your company ™s interest may not result in your company being considered for a set-aside or bidders list for the RFQ. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes only. Vendors that are able to provide this material need to provide the following in an email to Rachel.toracinta@navy.mil. 1.Vendor ™s name, address, phone number, fax number, and email address. 2.Vendor ™s cage code (SAM) 3.Vendor ™s Size Status (SB, SDVOSB, 8a, HUBZone, WOSB, etc.) 4.If vendor is not the actual manufacturer, the actual manufacturer ™s name, cage code, and size status. The material is Hatch Assemblies. The following specifications apply: Complete set of port and stbd of VRLA Hatch and portable grating assy ™s for battery compartment access. Each assy consists of items 1 through 52 and items 54 through 57 of DWG 7525967 REV-A as modified by PR-19862 and PR-19730-A. Each Assy is to include PC-16 CRES-304 edging strips of DWG 5796016 REV-M, 1 ť x 11 gage per SAE-AMS-QQ-S-763C, FIN #4 onto the hatch cover and the hatch insert. PC 40 grating Ryerson type 19-W-2 or equal., cages 89849 shall be procured with material specifications that equal carbon steel groups (S-1A, S-1B, or S-1C) of REF: NAVSEA TM T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688 REV-1. Also include painting the hatch assy IAW gen. note 14 of DWG 7525967-A. Provide hatch cover gasket śloose ť-will be installed by PNS after welding hatch assy in place. Provide tee wrenches per detail 5-1D if DWG 7525967-A with red plastisol coating on all surfaces except the blade portion (5/16 ť thk x 1-1/2 ť long). Note: Vendor is authorized to furnish item #26 of DWG 7525967-A machined from plate stock to QQ-N-281D in lieu of casting material to MIL-C-24723. See attached for the various material combinations/weld procedures and NDT inspection requirements. Data Requirements: Exhibit A SEQ A001-to be vendor ™s certificate of quality of conformance with all requirements (general notes and details) of DWG 7525967-A as modified by PYR-19862 and PYR-19730-A. SEQ A002-to be vendors welding procedures. Vendor shall submit their welding procedure and qualification data IAW NAVSEA TM T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688 REV-1 and TM S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248 to PNS Code 138 prior to any welding. PNS Clause C513 applies. SEQ A003-to be to be vendors VT procedure. Vendor shall submit their VT procedure IAW NAVSEA TM T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688 REV-1 and TM T9074-AS-GIB-010/271-CAN-1 with acceptance criteria per tech PUB 1688 REV-1 and MIL-STD-2035A, Class 2, to PNS Code 138 for review and approval prior to performing any VT inspection. PNS Clause C514 applies. SEQ A004-vendors VT test/inspection report IAW NAVSEA TM T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688 REV-1 and TM T9074-AS-GIB-010/271-ACN-1 with acceptance criteria to tech PUB 1688 REV-1 and MIL-STD-2035A, Class 2, to PNS code 136 with the finished assy ™s. PNS Clause C512 applies. DRAWINGS FOR THIS NOTICE ARE SUBJECT TO EXPORT CONTROLS.
