Description

The intent of this project is to remove physical barriers at building 63 at VA Sepulveda ACC. The contractor is to provide all labor, material and technical expertise to make the building handicapped accessible, with handicapped ramps, automatic door openers, accessible hallways, handicapped toilets, etc. All interior/exterior finishes remain unchanged with patch & repair or replace to match existing. This project includes phasing with access to areas adjacent to construction in the building required. The work will include but not be limited to: a. Removal of existing supplies and equipment, and temporary staging and storage during construction b. All necessary demolition c. Structural and non-structural conforming work, including seismic bracing d. Cleanup and activation of area The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated completion period for this work is 180 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The specifications and drawings will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on/about 8/26/2014. A date and time for a site visit will be stated in the solicitation. Award will be made utilizing sealed bid source selection process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14. Proposal submission instructions will be included in the solicitation package. The offeror is responsible for monitoring and downloading any amendments from the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) website that may be issued to this solicitation. All offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov) and VetBiz (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov) under the applicable NAICS code, and VETS100 (www.dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html). No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided and requests or questions by telephone will NOT be accepted.
