- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE of a proposed requirement for commercial "OFF THE SHELF" Hand Held CO2 monitors. This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and no offers will be accepted. The requirement is for: 1. Two (2) CAPNOCHECK II 8400 HAND HELD MONITOR OR AN EQUAL ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS. - The units shall be self-calibrating or at a minimum contain a simple user calibration option. - The unit shall be lightweight with peripheral connections. - The unit shall have the capability to run on both stationary electricity and battery back-up. Include battery charger. - The unit shall have a back-lit display that shows waveforms, trends, and numeric values. - The unit shall have the capability to measure EtCO2, inspired CO2, respiration rate, SpO2, and heart rate. - The unit shall have adjustable visual and auditory alarms. - The unit shall maintain technology that accommodates intubated and non-intubated patients. - The unit shall have reusable and disposable accessory options (i.e. vet probes, clips and lines). - The unit shall contain a link to printer capability. - The unit shall have a minimum of two (2) year warranty on all parts and software. 2. Accessories. - Two (2) Vet Probes - Two (2) packs of sample lines. Shipping FOB Destination shall be included in the overall price. The Veteran's Health Administration Service Area Office - East estimates a posting date of solicitation VA240-14-Q-0078 on August 11, 2014 and distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed to as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any costs incurred by interested parties will NOT be reimbursed. It is the responsibility of any interested party to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this notice. Agency is contemplating single award of a firm fixed price (FFP) contract to the contractor whose submission represents best value to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System code is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
