Description
Solicitation # HHS-NIH-OPCSBSS- 14015891 This is a notice of intent to award a sole source service order and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a firm-fixed price contract with THERUMOBCT THERUMOBCT a global leader in blood components and cellular technologies, is the only company with the unique combination of apheresis collections, manual and automated whole blood processing, and pathogens reduction coupled with the leading technologies in the therapeutic apheresis and cell processing capabilities and standards of operational execution. Additionally, THERUMOBCT inspires the innovation and strengthens the collaboration of the customers. The service preventive maintenance for two (2) apheresis machines (Optia's), requires to maintain blood instruments and avoid repair cost that may exceeds the life cycle value of the machines, the device are used for plasma exchanges and monocytes collections on patients at the Clinical Center. The trained certified technicians is available for emergency service visit and repair within 24 hours, Monday through Friday which includes, labor, travel, expenses and all replacement parts for the equipment required. Additionally, there is no other known company that can provide the breadth and depth of knowledge to properly service this specialize instrumentation because THERUMOBCT manufactures these and is knowledgeable of the requirement of its instrumentation based from the previous services Therefore, NIH made the determination that the THERUMOBCT., is the only vendor that can meet the needs of life preserving and life extending therapy for NIH patients support services. This procurement was conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposals and quotes This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in Far 12 and under FAR 6.302-1. The period of performance is 12 months with an option of up to Three (3) one year option periods. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents related to this notice the determination of the government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government.
