- Description
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intend to procure from GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences Corp. the following: One (1) SYS12904 SYSTEM, VP-Capillary DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry). System to include: Ultrasensitive VP-Capillary DSC MicroCalorimetry Cell VP-Control Unit with monitor for real-time operation and post run analysis; network compatible software pack with ORIGIN, VPViewer, Microsoft Winows XP Professional Autosampler unit with regulator, valve rotor; rmoVac temperature-controlled sample preparation and cleaning device with plumbing kit, cleaning kit, well trays, and covers, o-rings, temperature standards; manuals; installation and instruction; 16 week delivery. The DSC system must be capable of: evaluating a large amount of immunogens candidates for their suitability for immunogenicity experiments; testing the reactivity and physical stability of designed immunogens; direct measuring of thermal stability of proteins and other biomolecules in order to give insights into factors that stabilize or destabilize proteins, nucleic acids, micellar complexes, and other macromolecular systems, alone or as complexes. The system will enable the Vaccine Research Center to predict shelf lives, develop purification strategies, and characterize and evaluate protein constructs or other biotherabeutic entities. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and this item contains proprietary information.
