Description
Request for Information (RFI): This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The 325th Contracting Squadron is seeking contractors interested and capable of replacing canopies fabric, purlins and cables on 12 existing aircraft sun shades (Bravo 1-6 & Bravo 10-15) on the Tyndall AFB flight line. The contractor shall measure the canopy fabric for each sunshade, replace with 80% water repellant fabric that has a 5 year warranty, is capable of handling high winds up to 40 (kts) with gusts up to 90 (kts) and withstands extreme heat conditions above 90°F for 70+ days a year with a high of 110°F. Fabric must be in compliance with the Berry Amendment. Once the fabric is on-hand, the contractor shall remove the fabric, blast deflectors, cables, safety cables, light fixtures, conduit with wiring, junction boxes and purlins. The contractor shall replace the purlins, cables and APU blast deflector safety cables with galvanized steel replacement parts and the galvanized steel purlins will require painting prior to install. Work will be conducted on an active flight line so contractor will be required to comply with procedures to prevent foreign objects and work must be scheduled to prevent interference with flight operations. Recyclable materials, (scrap metal, cardboard, etc.) generated from this project should be returned to the base for recycling. The above description of work is informational only and is not intended to include and describe every feature or item of work. Response to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The contract type will be a firm fixed price contract. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 332311 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The proposed requirement is unrestricted however may be restricted for small businesses depending on the number of interested contractors. NOTE: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
