This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Minimum Essential Characteristics for Dry Chemistry Analyzer for U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense Laboratory Services Branch POC: To be designated at time of award Brand Name or Equal to VITROS 4600 The proposed item must have the following Minimum Essential Characteristics (MEC): Reagents: No reagent preparation Measurement Principles: 1.Direct ISE (Potentiometric) 2.Colorimetric/Rate 3.Immuno-rate 4.Turbidimetric 5.Semi-quantitative values for drugs of abuse testing Calibration: 1.Must have stable 6 month or longer calibrations Instrument Start-Up Requirements: 1.No priming 2.No washes 3.No daily calibrations Sample Types: 1.Serum 2.Plasma 3.Urine 4.CSF 5.Minimum sample volume needed is 35 microliters Sample and Reagent Management: 1.Clot and bubble detection 2.High sample viscosity detection 3.Save-the-sample management system 4.Liquid level sensing 5.Reagent delivery detection and management 6.Auto reflex dilution On-Board Test Capacity: 1.Must be able to house all current assays packs plus at least one spare 2.Must be able to load packs while instrument is running Sample Capacity: 1.Should be able to load 50 samples Other considerations: 1.System must have self-contained onboard waste management and must not require water or drains that have additional maintenance and cost and carry the potential for contamination risks that impact test results. 2.System should scan for sample interferences (hemolysis, icterus, turbidity) with no additional reagents, sample, or consumables required. Scan should have no impact on the delivery of results. Scan should automatically flag the impacted test results. 3.System should have no fixed probes or mixing assemblies that have the potential for carry-over. 4.Must have disposable Tips on both clinical chemistry and Immunochemistry analyzers. 5.Configurable reference ranges to support the multiple species at the Institute. 6.System must be capable of interfacing with current laboratory management software (LabDAQ). 7.System must have user-defined channels to be able to add additional tests not currently available if needed by the Institute's investigators. 8.System should be capable of performing the following assays: a.Cholinesterase b.IgG, IgA, IgM, C3, C4, and CRP See attached document(s) for full information.
