- NCCAM Upgrades to Existing Olympus Microscopes This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. This requirement is assigned a code of 334516 in the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), and the size standard for such requirements is 500 employees. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) plans to award a firm fixed price non-competitive purchase order for Upgrades and installation of upgrades to its existing Olympus microscopes. To be compliant with the warranties of the existing microscopes systems Olympus is the only source that can provide these upgrades. Upgrades being procured are as follows: For the existing Olympus IX73 System: • Automated XYZ Stage with autofocus, linear encoders, wing attachments for manipulators • Long distance 40X lense • Dual dichroic GFP/mCherry Cube For the existing Olympus Stereomicroscopes SZX10 and SZX16: • 0.5X OBJ for SZX16 • 0.75X OBJ for the SZX10 • Nosepiece For existing Olympus FV1000 Confusal: • Light path upgrade to simultaneously detect the following: o Ch1: Alexa 488 nm (Ex 495; Em 519) o Ch2: Atto 550 (Ex 554; Em 574) o Ch3: Atto 647 (Ex 643; Em 665) o Ch4: Cy7 (Ex 743; Em 767) For existing Olympus MPE-RS Systems: • UV and Green Diode Lasers • Camera, Camera mounting hardware, and software for slice IR imaging • Camera, Camera mounting hardware, and software for in vivo intrinsic imaging The exact items needed to complete the above listed upgrades are as follows: 1.
