- Offerors and all interested parties are hereby notified that the solicitation documents are publicly posted for the above referenced project for Olympic Naitonal Park, WA. The work of this contract consists of general construction for for general construction to re-roof two park houses, an unattached garage, and two campground comfort stations (restroom buildings) located in three different park districts within Olympic National Park, WA (Quinault District, Staircase District, and Hoh District). Refer to Section J of Attachment no. 1, Terms and Conditions, for the complete list of attachments that includes the price schedule and all other terms, provisions, and clauses, roofing specifications, gutter and downspout specifications, project summary requirements, site maps, USDA BioPreferred program flyer, and Dept. of Labor Davis-Bacon wage determinations (a separate wage determination each for Grays Harbor County, Mason County, and Clallam County). All work will be performed under a single contract. In the event that competitive proposals are not received for this solicitation, an offeror may be required to submit cost and pricing data or information other than cost and pricing data. This project is being solicited and awarded as a total (100%) Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.502-2. The NAICS code is 238160 with an associate small business size standard of $15 million. Magnitude of Construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The magnitude is set by public law. Offerors are advised that the government estimate may fall anywhere within the range given above. However, for this contract, the government anticipates award at less than the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). SUMMARY OF WORK: (1) CHRISTIAN HOUSE: Reroofing includes removing the existing cedar shakes and installing a new standing seam metal roof. Project will include new skylight flashings, chimney flue flashing and plumbing vent jacks. Wood gutters will remain. Four new aluminum rainchains will be added to the house gutters in place of downspouts at the four corners. NOTE: The Government will supply the metal roofing material for the residence. Only the metal will be provided. The contractor shall provide all underlayment, fasteners, and accessories. The park had intended to roof the structure with park maintenance crews but have not had time, and the metal is already purchased and needs to be used in this project. (2) CHRISTIAN HOUSE GARAGE: Work consists of removing the existing cedar shakes and installing a new standing seam metal roof on the garage. The wood gutter on the front of the garage will remain. Two new aluminum rainchains will be added to the wood gutter. A new aluminum gutter and downspout will replace the existing gutter and downspout at the rear of the garage. The contractor will provide the metal roofing that visually matches the Government-provided metal roofing for the house. (3) STAIRCASE A-FRAME CABIN (employee housing): Reroofing includes removing the existing cedar shakes and installing a new standing seam metal roof. The cabin has two skylights and no gutters or downspouts. The project will include new skylight flashings and plumbing vent jacks. (4) HOH CAMPGROUND COMFORT STATION LOOP A: Reroofing includes removing the existing cedar shakes and installing a new standing seam metal roof. This comfort station has two skylights. Project will include new skylight flashings and plumbing vent jacks. NOTE: The Government will supply the metal roofing material for the residence. Only the metal will be provided.
