Description
The White River National Forest in Glenwood Springs, Colorado intends to solicit a requirement for construction services for the replacement of the timber running planks on the Avalanche Bridge at the Sopris/Aspen Ranger District, Colorado. The project consists of the following work: - Follow Colorado Department of Transportation's (CDOT) process for Temporary Traffic Control to obtain an approved permit. - Establish and maintain temporary traffic control as required in the approved CDOT permit. - Protect all existing structures and signs. - Provide all hardware. - Provide additional treated timber running planks. - Load and deliver Government-Furnished running planks from Glenwood Springs storage location to Project Location. - Remove and dispose of existing timber running planks and hardware. - Provide, install and maintain debris retention system to capture all debris. - Clean deck surface of all debris. - Treat any exposed holes, cuts or scrapes in deck surface prior to plank installation. - Allow deck to dry fully prior to plank installation. - Install new running planks, treating field-cuts. - Remove temporary traffic control and filter barrier. - Reclaim staging areas. The project has an estimated period of performance of thirty (45) calendar days. Project Location: The bridge is located approximately 12 miles south of Carbondale, Colorado on the Aspen/Sopris District of the White River National Forest. Travel south from Carbondale on State Highway 133 for approximately 12 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 340, Avalanche Campground Road. The bridge is immediately adjacent to the state highway. The magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $25,000.00 and $50,000.00. The Government intends to award a single contract with a period of performance not to exceed thirty (45) calendar days. This procurement is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS for this acquisition is 237310 - Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. Construction Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is $36.5 million All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
