Description
Instructional Cover Sheet Drawings Specifications Wage Decision Solicitation No. AG-531A-S-14-0013 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Sugar Creek Culvert Replacement on the Redbird Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Clay County, Kentucky. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment and supervision to furnish and install a 60' long, 17' - 0" Span x 11' - 2" Rise multi-plate pipe arch with double step beveled ends. This work includes excavation of roadway material, removal and disposal of the existing 11' -10" x 7' -9" culvert, backfill and compaction of the new pipe, placing riprap for fill slope protection, energy dissipation, and grade control, and reconditioning of the disturbed roadway. Work also includes placing the multi-plate pipe arch below the channel grade and using government furnished material to construct a simulated channel within the structure. Government furnished material shall be conserved from the excavation. Excess and unsuitable material shall be disposed of at the Sugar Creek Trailhead at MP 7.8 on NFSR 1600. Dewatering and erosion control shall be required as necessary, and all requirements of State and Federal Water Quality Certifications shall be followed. Details and requirements are provided in the attached plans and specifications. A site showing will be conducted at the project site on August 13, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. EST. The project is located approximately 28 miles east of Manchester, Kentucky. From Manchester travel 13 miles east on State Highway 9006, Hal Rogers Parkway to State Highway 66 South. Follow State Highway 66 South for approximately 0.8 miles and turn left onto KY 80E/US 421S. Follow KY 80E/US 421S for 8.5 miles and turn right onto NFSR 1533/Forestry Road/Gilberts Creek Road. Follow NFSR 1533 for 0.8 miles and turn right onto NFSR 1600, Sugar Creek Road. Follow NFSR 1600 for 2.5 miles to the project site. This requirement is being solicited as a Firm-Fixed Price Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated price range is from $25,000 to $100,000. Offers are due on or before close of business (4:30 P.M. EST) on August 25, 2014. Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Managment at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. This is a free registration.
