Description
This is a request for information only. This is not a request for proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. The United States Air Force, 375 Contracting Squadron (LGCB), Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking sources to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and incidentals necessary to manufacture, deliver install 65 steel wardrobe lockers. Scott Air Force Base is conducting market research to determine the availability of business capable of providing lockers based on the description below. 1. Description of Services: The vendor shall manufacture the proper number and type of stand alone Clothing Wardrobe Lockers In Accordance With (IAW) this Statement of Work (SOW) and have them delivered to building 864 on Scott Air Force Base. The vendor will install these lockers in rooms A101, A103 and A119 of building 864 according to proper installation procedures. The vendor will provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and incidentals necessary to install the lockers. All lockers shall be installed to be useful and stable. Contractor must clean up all areas in and around building 864 affected by the installation after the work has been completed. 2. Location: Building 864, 900 Chapman Drive, Scott AFB, IL, 62225 located in St Clair County IL. 3. Project Description: This project requires the manufacture, delivery and installation of 65 steel wardrobe lockers with two laminated wood doors, one shelf above a clothes rod, and a three point latch. The dimensions of each locker will be 36"Wide x 78"High x 24"Deep. Each wardrobe locker will also include a set of two coat hooks and a mirror, (chrome plated steel), mounted on the door. Inside each wardrobe will be an insert chest with two drawers and a steel top that will be factory anchored to the interior of the assembled wardrobes. The dimensions of the insert chests will be 20"Wide x 25"High x 20"Deep. The inside components and the outside steel components will be painted and it is requested that the manufacturer provide color samples to choose from for both the laminate doors and paint before the manufacture of the lockers. The lockers will ship assembled and the price of the shipping included in the contract. 4. Site Description: Building 864 is located at 900 Chapman Drive on Scott Air Force Base. Rooms A101, A103 and A119 are clearly marked and there is a loading ramp and double doors on the North side of the building. Parking is across the street from the building. In no case is the government required to store product pending installation at any other location. 6. Hours of Operation: The work shall be performed during normal duty hours (7:30 A. M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday). 8. Workmanship: Work for this project shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified and efficient installers skilled in their trade. The vendor shall perform all operations in a manner that will result in a professional and expeditiously completed project. 9. Accessories: Vendor shall provide all incidentals necessary for installation, e.g., installation hooks, brackets, etc. Adhesives, fasteners, nails, etc. shall be furnished by the vendor. 10. Preparation: Vendor shall be responsible for reviewing the building site prior to installation. The beginning of installation implies acceptance of existing conditions. 12. Quality Assurance: Representatives from the Band of Mid-America will inspect and confirm proper completion of the work when it is finished. 13. Compliance with Laws: The vendor shall comply and ensure that all subcontractors comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations, ordinances and standards. 15. Site Maintenance: The Contractor shall protect adjacent property, offices, dining room and their contents from dust, dirt or other materials. Work areas in building 864 shall be maintained in a neat, clean, safe condition and shall, at a minimum, be cleaned at the end of each day. Vendor shall maintain clearances through walkways for occupants to pass. 15. Cleanup: The Vendor shall collect all trash, debris, refuse, garbage, etc., which they generate and remove it from the site. No dumpsters shall be required. Vendor shall remove all debris off-base on a daily basis. 16. Protection: The vendor shall take precautions to prevent damage to government property. The vendor shall repair or replace damaged items at no additional cost to the government. 17. Completion of Work: The vendor shall ensure that work for this project is performed in accordance with the criteria herein, and that all relevant materials, finishes, equipment and systems shall be fully operational at the completion of work for this project. Contract Type 375th Contracting Squadron is anticipating a firm fixed price contract.
