AFRL Photos Inside HazMat Locker AFRL SOW Fire Suppression Systems Inspections SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.). ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS SYNOPSIS IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS to determine the availability of businesses able to provide required services. The Air Force Test Center Specialized Contracting Division (AFTC/PZR) at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking sources for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RQOF), and intends to solicit and award a Firm Fixed Price contract for the services as outlined within the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Period of Performance will be from 1 September 2014 through 31 August 2014 with two scheduled services during the period of performance. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: The anticipated NAICS code for this requirement is 561621, with the corresponding size standard of $20,500,000.00. To assist AFTC/PZR in making a determination regarding the level of participation by small business in any subsequent procurement that may result from this Sources Sought, you are also encouraged to provide information regarding your plans to use joint venturing or partnering to meet each of the requirements areas contained herein. This includes responses from qualified and capable Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Service Disabled-Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Women-owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses, and 8(a) companies. You should provide information on how you would envision your company's areas of expertise and those of any proposed JV/partner would be combined to meet the specific requirements contained in this announcement. In order to make a determination for a small business set-aside, two or more qualified and capable small businesses must submit responses that demonstrate their qualifications. Responses must demonstrate the company's ability to perform in accordance with the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (FAR 52.219-14). The Government is seeking only qualified businesses interested in providing the services as identified in this synopsis within the SOW. Therefore, the Government is requesting that interested businesses respond with the following information: 1) Business name and address; 2) Name of company representative and their business title; 3) Business Size and Type of Small Business (if applicable); 4) Cage Code; 5) Telephone Number; and 6) E-mail address. Vendors who wish to respond to this synopsis should submit responses to the Contract Specialist, Rosann D. Knarreborg, rosann.knarreborg.1@us.af.mil NLT 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on 7 August 2014.
