Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intend to procure from Molecular Devices Corp. the following: 1) PLUS 384 SpectraMAX Plus 384 UV/Vis cuvette/microplate reader (90V to 240V) with current version SoftMax Pro Includes SpectraMAX Plus 384 High-Throughput Spectrophotometer, reads 96 and 384 well microplates in normal and speed read mode, built-in cuvette port, precision endpoint/kinetic/spectral scanning (UV/visible), proprietary pathcheck sensor, tunable wavelength selection from 190 nm to 100 nm in 1 nm increments, thermal regulation from ambient + 4C to 45C, user manual, dust cover, interface cable, 1 year warranty; 2) 0310-3258 Instrument, PLUS 384; 3) StakMax Plate Handling System base unit configurable system that has options for barcode reading on the long side or short side, and stacker magazines with 20, 40, and 50 plate capacities; 4) 0310-5103 StakMax Baseplate for configuration with Series 2 Microplate Readers; 5) Input and output magazine that accommodates 50 SBS standard microplates; 6) 4 SMP6 Software Softmax Pro 6 Software; 7) 4 SMP6.UPG SoftMax Pro v6 with Win XP/7/8 compatibility and license up to 4 computers. The SpectraMax Plus 384 has unique design/performance specifications that are essential for the research of the Vaccine Research Center: Can read UV/VIS absorbance from 190nm to 10000nm, selectable in 1nm increments; uses monochromators, no filters are ever required; has a cuvette port installed in the unit and no need for adpters; uses no more than a 2nm bandpass during wavelength selection; can be ISO 17025 validated; has photometric accuracy of <plus or minus 0.006 OD plus or minus 2.0%, 0-2 OD; uses Xenon flash lamp for wavelength selection; can read a 96 well plate in 5 seconds; is compatible with the StakMax plate handler and SoftMax Pro software; can be outfitted with barcode reader; can be automated to read up to 50 plates unattended. This will be a firm fixed price contract in accordance with the statutory authority for this sole source requirement 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and this item contains proprietary information. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-75, dated June 24, 2014. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516, which has a size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources who feel they can meet these requirements shall submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Offers must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M.
