- Sole Source Intent Notice The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Resource Center (HRC) intends to solicit a quote from, and issue a contract to, Heubel Material Handling, INC. for the relocation/transport of two (2) Kardex Lektrievers owned by the HRC, as well as repair to one (1) of the Kardex Lektrievers. HRC Payroll has two (2) Kardex Lektriever file cabinets located at the HRC Townsite office. Both Lektriever file cabinets need to be removed from the HRC Townsite office, transported, and set up at the HRC West office. In addition to moving the Lektrievers between offices, one (1) of the Lektrievers needs repair. A technician noted that the Lektriever was loaded too heavily, and the posting board was broken. The posting board will not lock into place because the locking pins are not aligned. Both Lektrievers must be transported to the designated area in HRC West and must be in normal working order for the requirement to be considered complete. Overall, there are three main objectives for this contract. 1.Transport two (2) Lektrievers from HRC Townsite to HRC West. 2.Repair the broken Lektriever, Model: LK 2000, Serial #:0000034028 3.Setup both Lektrievers in the designated area at HRC West and ensure they operate normally. HRC Townsite is located at: 120 SE 6th Street, Suite 102 Topeka, KS 66603 HRC West is located at: 1131 SW Winding Road, Suite B Topeka, KS 66615 Period of Performance: The services should take place the week of August 18, 2014 and completed Friday, August 22, 2014, at the latest. Other organizations that believe they are capable of meeting the VA's requirements are invited to submit information establishing a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If the VA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, the agency will solicit a quotation and issue a sole source award for Transport and Repair to existing Lektrievers to Heubel Material Handling, INC. under FAR Part 15, Contracting By Negotiation, and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. This is not a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the information received. Responses to this notice must be submitted by August 4, 2014, 2:00 PM EST.
