Description
This is a COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS for commercial items. This Solicitation/Synopsis was prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The proposed contract action is for the Human Worn Partial Task TCCC Simulator, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award on a sole source basis to ADS Inc., 621 Lynnhaven Pkwy Ste 400, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23452-7448 under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b)(1). All other offerors may submit a quote that will be reviewed by the Government. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Justification: Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)1, Sole source justification is based on ADS having sole distributorship for the needed, proprietary items. There are no substitutes for this item. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-14-T-0246 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 315280. Size 500 Quotations shall be submitted electronically by email to Kevin.Knapp@med.navy.mil or by facsimile at 619-532-5944, attention Kevin W. Knapp. E-mail submissions are limited to 2MB.
