- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for civility/diversity consulting and coaching support to the Code 600 Science Exploration Directorate, Associate Director of the Earth Sciences and the Code 600 Diversity and Civility Creative Learning Group. The contractor will assist in selecting topics for learning and discussion sessions, and serve as or identify subject matter experts in the area of diversity for the purpose of co-facilitating sessions with the Associate Director of Earth Sciences. The contractor shall have experience working with a diverse, multi-national, and highly skilled technical scientific and engineering community who are highly motivated, task oriented and time constrained. The contractor should have experience in drawing out different perspectives so that all viewpoints are heard and included in the discussion. Examples of topics for further exploration and learning include: Follow-up on workplace bullying and harassment What would you do? Respectful confrontation Compassion fatigue From Nowhere to Nobels-Women in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Generational Perspectives-Millennials in Adulthood Partnering with Advisory Groups for presentations Deliverables: Identify and address ongoing diversity challenges within the SED and within the cross-disciplinary collaborative teams which are critical to delivering the science goals and objectives Research and recommend state-of-the-art resources for the CLG and the Diversity Council Bring in experts and authors to meet with the CLG Support individuals who are the core of the Center using formats that illustrate different ways of working, communicating and behaving that can be used successfully within this scientific and technical community Strengthen self-awareness and present creative ways to thrive and address the challenges of creating a diverse and inclusive work place environment Collaborate with other directorates and advisory groups that support the tenants of diversity, respect, and inclusion Collaborate with subject matter experts in the areas of diversity, resilience and civility Select and host the Goddard Community Cinema films and discussions. The purpose of the films is to educate and inform the workforce about diversity Expand visibility of and participation of the CLG within the Science Exploration Directorate Ensure that the Code 600 Diversity and Civility CLG website is current. Minimum Qualifications: The contractor shall provide documentation of Coach certification at the Master Certified Coach level as credentialed by the International Coach Federation or other equivalent professional, nationally recognized governing Coaching body. The contractor shall have at least 5 years of specialized experience providing support services to a complex research and development facility with a highly technical work environment. Period of Performance: Basic; Date of award through twelve months plus two one (1) year options. Option 1 : Thirteen through twenty-four months. Option 2: Twenty-five through thirty-six months. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than July 31, 2014 EST 4:30pm. (Pros It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
