- The USDA ARS in Prosser WA has a need for small plot combine and the Zuern150 combine is the only combine with a specialized head with a more horizontal approach of the cutting shears and apron for easier direct harvest of bean plots. This combine also has a third screen which facilitates cleaner seed samples in the bag which can be weighed directly without having to go through the extra step of hand cleaning each plot sample. The Zuern 150 components are mainly made by John Deere and after sale and support is readily available. The combine under consideration is a Zuern 150 with Header special flat cutting, reel brushes or rubber flaps for mounted on reel to clean the cutter bar. Roll Bar, Working lights, delivery, setup and training. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source AIES under authority of FAR 13/6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 2 days (five days of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
