Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) intends to award a sole source contract to FUJI Medical Systems USA Inc. The Period of Performance of the contract is for the base (date of award) and 2 option years. This includes charges on drop, damage, and lost of panel. This requirement is for D-Evo detector, X-ray generator, HV Tank, Insert, and X-ray. The detector converts the X-rays into light and then into an electrical signal to produce an image of the body in front of the detector. The equipment is located at Jacksonville OPC, rm. 1N148-JAXOPC FUJI is the sole provider and the product is proprietary. FUJI is the only available source for this product. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by August 13, 2014, 16:00 p.m. (EST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to susan.delacruz@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
