- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue solicitation RFQP04181400013 for the provision of Fresh Dairy Products to the Federal Correctional Complex located at Terre Haute, IN. The products will be provided for daily meals to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. It is estimated that the following items will be required in the estimated quantities: Milk, non-fat/skim, ½ pint containers - 1,352,000 ea.; Milk, non-fat/skim, 5 gallon container - 7,384 ea.; Cottage Cheese, low-fat, large or small curd, 5 lb. container - 2,256 ea. The resulting contract will be for a 12 month period. Deliveries will be made at the above location once weekly as required. Detailed specifications included in the actual solicitation document. Quantities listed here are an estimated contract total only for the 12 month period. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be made available on or about July 29, 2014 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR)/SAM database. The website for registration is www.acquisition.gov. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 311511 with a size standard of 500 Employees. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is August 19, 2014; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date/time quotations are due. The solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. All responsible sources may submit a quote for consideration. The anticipated date of award will be approximately September 1, 2014.
