- Drawing (SECTION B-B) of pump installation Solicitation W912P5-14-T-0088 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a 1000GPM Vertical Turbine Pump. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Contractor shall manufacture, supply and deliver one (1) Vertical Turbine Pump that shall meet or exceed the following specifications (see attached drawing, SECTION B-B for critical dimensions): • The vertical turbine pump must be equal to the existing Worthington Pump, Size: 10L301, 1000GPM, 42-TDH. • The motor must be equal to the existing General Electric Tri Clad Induction Motor, Model 5K6226XH1A, HP 7.5, Service Factor 1.15, Type K, Code H, Frame 213TP10, Volts 230/460, Cycles 60, FL Amps 22/11, FL Speed 1745, 60 degrees C cont rise. • 416SS impeller Collets • 304SS impellers, statically and dynamically balanced with smooth waterway passages • Bronze Bowl Wear Rings • 6" Oil Lubricated Flanged Column Assembly, lubrication line shafts shall not allow leakage • Total column height of discharge pipe and shafts, shall not exceed 40.5 feet from bottom of strainer to motor drive coupling. • Solenoid operated lubricating device with sight glass and needle valve allowing for 72 hours continuous run. No manual starting and stopping of oiler • C1045 Line shafts adequate for 1000 GPM and 7.5 horsepower pump • Steel threaded Line Shaft Couplings • Belled Suction and 316SS Basket Strainer • 6" flanged fabricated discharge head at motor base • Motor base will be mounted 10" off floor on concrete pedestal • Mounting base cannot exceed 18" square • 6" discharge shall have a centerline of 15" from floor • Flanges shall be approximately 9.5-10 inch flanges, standard. • Total pump shaft and discharge pipe assembly must fit within a 13" column sleeve • 7.5 Horse power @ 1745 RPM, premium efficient motor • Two lifting eyes on motor for installation and removal • Pump rotation Counter clockwise • Equipped with air release • Bronze Line shaft bearings spaced at no more than 5 feet apart and bowl bearings • Base plate of steel construction • Pump Bowls can be single or multistage configuration, with smooth vanes and streamlined passageways; if cast must be close-grain cast-iron. • Top bowl and suction case bearings shall be grease packed, water lubricated or fluted rubber, grease packed bearings shall be nonwater-soluable hydraulic type permanently sealed with sand caps to prevent intrusion of abrasive particles • All protective coatings on discharge pipe, motor, base, etc shall be of ALK-200 Acrylic Modified Alkyd Enamel in battleship gray • All nuts, bolts, washers and installation hardware shall be provided. At minimum B7 hexagonal grade and hot dipped galvanized or zinc coated after threading process; all hardware exposed to water shall be stainless steel. • 1000 GPM • 42 TDH • Pump discharge head and base plate shall be capable of withstanding all end and side thrust loads imposed during operation and resist vibration at all operating speeds The vertical turbine pump shall be warranted by the equipment manufacturer's warranty. Any component failing to perform its function as specified and documented shall be repaired or replaced by the contractor at no additional cost to the Government. Items repaired or replaced shall be warranted for an additional period of at least one year from the date that the system becomes functional again. The equipment shall be packed in a manner acceptable to preserve the condition of the equipment as it left the Contractor's facility. The packaging shall clearly identify the contents and weight of the package. Loose items such as bolts and screws shall be packaged together in a single package. All transportation, delivery, and storage costs shall be included in the quote. Equipment shall be shipped as completely assembled and wired as feasible so as to require a minimum of installation work. Equipment shall be adequately protected from damage during shipping and handling. All damage shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor with no additional cost to the Government. The contract resulting from this solicitation will contain one line item: CLIN 0001 for 1 each 1000GPM Vertical Turbine Pump, including any shipping charges. Delivery: The items shall be delivered within Sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of a signed copy of the contract. Arrangements shall be made with the below point of contact prior to delivery.
