Description
STATEMENT OF WORK 1.Description of Services / Introduction: The Batterers ™ Intervention Program (BIP) is a psycho-educational program that specifically addresses intimate partner violence. The curriculum addresses physical, economic, emotional and sexual violence as well as isolation, intimidation, the use of threats and coercion, as well as the impact of violence on children. The Navy ™s version of BIP is known as Alternatives to Violence (ATV). 2.Purpose: ATV is a primary intervention component of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). ATV is designed to meet the needs of Naval Station, Mayport, for a program that addresses intervention for violence towards women. The program is open to active duty men or male civilian spouses who are either court ordered into a batterer ™s group or individuals who are recommended by the Incident Determination Committee (IDC). Reducing the risk of further abuse to women is the primary objective. 3.Specific Task Explanation: Contractor will provide a State approved male facilitator for the ATV program. This individual will function as the primary facilitator of the ATV group, in collaboration with a licensed, credentialed mental health FFSC clinician who will co-facilitate the group. Start date will be September 04, 2014 and will end September 03, 2015. 4.Operations: Services will be provided in one, two hour sessions every Thursday between September 04, 2014 and September 03, 2015. There will be a maximum of 20 participants in each group session. 5.Place of Performance: ATV group is held in the Fleet and Family Support Center. The Government will furnish necessary work space and equipment required for the ATV group. 6.Travel and Other Direct Costs: There is no additional travel or other direct costs.
