Description
This Request for Information is for market research purposes only. Responses to this RFI are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents shall not submit any proprietary information when responding to this RFI. Respondents shall also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this RFI. The Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by respondents regarding any responses to this RFI. Respondents must submit capability statements that clearly define the firm's ability to provide the items stated in this RFI. This requirement is for various items relating to horse feed, supplements and stall care that will need to be delivered to Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Fort Myer, Virginia. The following items will need to be delivered at the following locations: 1) Grain, senior feed, 50 lb bag - 7 deliveries to Fort Myer throughout the year; 10 bags per delivery 2) Trace mineral salt block, 50 lb - 5 deliveries to Fort Myer and 5 deliveries to Fort Belvoir throughout the year; 10 blocks per delivery 3) Trace mineral salt brick, 4lb - 5 deliveries to Fort Myer and 5 deliveries to Fort Belvoir throughout the year; 100 bricks per delivery 4) White salt brick, 5 deliveries to Fort Myer and 5 deliveries to Fort Belvoir throughout the year; 100 bricks per delivery 5) White salt block, 50lb: 5 deliveries to Fort Myer and 5 deliveries to Fort Belvoir throughout the year; 10 blocks per delivery 6) Electro-dex feed supplement, 30 lb bucket - 3 deliveries to Fort Myer; 6 buckets per delivery 7) Grass forge-chopped, used for hay substitute, 40 lb bag - 6 deliveries to Fort Belvoir; 50 bales per delivery 8) Sweat PDZ powder lime, stall freshener to put on stall mats, 50 lb bag - 2 deliveries to Fort Myer; 50 bags per delivery 9) Beet pulp feed supplement, 40 lb bag - 2 deliveries to Fort Myer; 5 bags per delivery 10) Galloway Horse pine shaving bedding, 40 lb bag - 12 deliveries to Fort Myer; 1,380 bags a year 11) Legends 11P Show and Pleasure, 50lb - 24 deliveries to Fort Belvoir; 50 bags per delivery 12) Custom Formula Horse Feed - 15 deliveries to Fort Myer; 3 tons per delivery --------The horse feed shall meet the following minimum requirements: a. Crude Protein - (min) 12.00% b. Crude Fat - (min) 6.00% c. Crude Fiber - (min) 24.00% d. Calcium (ca) (min) 0.80% - (min) 1.3 e. Phosphorus (p) - (min) 0.55% f. Copper (Cu) - (min) 55 ppm g. Selenium (Se) - (min) 0.30 ppm h. Zinc (Zn) - (min) 165 ppm i. Vitamin A - (min) 5,000 IU/LB j. The following ingredients: Corn meal, dehulled soybean meal, wheat middlings, alfalfa meal, soybean hulls, cane molasses, ground limestone, dicalcian phosphate, salt, manganous oxide, manganese proteinate, Zinc oxide, Zinc proteinate, Ferrous sulfate, Copper sulfate, Copper proteinate, Cobalt carbonate, Calcium lodate, Sodium selenite, Vitamin A supplement, Vitamin D3 supplement, Vitamin E supplement, Menadione sodium bisilfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), Riboflavin supplement, Niacin supplement, Calcium pantothenate, Vitamin B11 supplement, Choline chloride, D-biotin, thiamine mononitraite, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, Calcium lignin sulfonate, yeast culture, yeast fermentation solubles, Soybean oil, (propionic acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate (preservatives). THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. It is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine potential business firms capable of providing the supply and/or services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote. The NAICS contemplated for this requirement is 311119 with a size standard of 500 employees. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: Please provide a capability statement addressing your organizations ability to provide the items required above. Include only general capabilities relative to the requirement as this is not a solicitation and no responses will be considered as proposals. Provide responses to this notice to ryan.m.macdonald.civ@mail.mil. Telephone responses will NOT be accepted. Please provide responses in writing no later than 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 01 August 2014.
