- Statement of Work and Sole Source Justification Neutron Irradiation. The solicitation number is FA8601-14-T-0190. The NAICS Code is 611310. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed sole source is The Ohio State University Research Reactor. This purchase is for radiation support services, reactor operations, and technical staff for conducting radiation damage and detector analysis experiments. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be e-mailed to A1C Alexander Leishman at Alexander.Leishman@us.af.mil or faxed to (937) 904-3637 no later than 29 July 2014, 12:00 noon Eastern Time. Only proposals received by this date will be considered. Any questions should be directed to A1C Alexander Leishman at 937-522-4611. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads "FA8601-14-T-0190 Neutron Irradiation" Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e.,.exe, or.zip files). Therefore, if this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that.zip or.exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB.
