Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM),Division of Solid Minerals have an requirement to replace a old and severely malfunctioning Rigaku brand desktop powder x-ray diffractometer (XRD) that has been in use at the BLM National Mineral Testing Laboratory (NMTL) in Worland, Wyoming for more than two decades. The current instrument is no longer repairable. BLM intend to Sole Source this requirement to the Rigaku Americas Corporation. The following Items will be purchased: 1. MiniFlex 600 X-ray Diffractometer - Part # 2005L301 The MiniFlex 600 is the fastest and most powerful benchtop x-ray diffraction system in the world. It is very flexible and may be equipped with a choice of detectors, slits, optional monochromator, and optional automatic sample changer and sample spinner stages. Its compact and powerful 600W x-ray generator provides the highest intensity in a compact benchtop XRD system. The MiniFlex 600 can be configured to be optimized to examine a broad range of samples and fit into any laboratory space. Minimal installation requirements allow the system to be installed virtually anywhere. Rigaku first introduced the MiniFlex as the world's first benchtop XRD system in 1979. After more than 30 years, Rigaku has installed over 1000 systems worldwide. With proven performance and reliability, the MiniFlex is making happy users around the world. The system features: 600W X-ray Generator Highest Power Generator in a Benchtop XRD High-frequency, 0.60 kW (40 kV and 15 mA) Power requirements: 115V, 60 Hz, single phase, 10 A. X-ray tube take-off angle: 6° Electronic display panel showing generator and detector electronics status. Interlocked radiation enclosure with X-ray ON lamp. 1.3 kW Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger, Highly Reliable Goniometer Highly reliable and rugged vertical goniometer with sample mounted in horizontal position. Measuring range: -3° to ~ 145° 2θ Scanning speed: 0.01° - 100° 2θ / min 150 mm radius minimizes intensity loss due to air scattering. Standard sample stage for a wide range of standard sample holders and accessories. Slit Assembly Continuously variable, theta-compensating, divergence slit provides superior low angle diffraction performance. Fixed scattering slit, 1.25° Soller slits, 5° incident and receiving, Receiving slit, 0.3 mm. Scintillation Counter Detector (standard)  NaI scintillation counter detector  Please inquire on optional D/teX Ultra high speed detector.
