- This is an INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE only. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Olympus America Inc., 2400 Ringwood Avenue, San Jose, CA 95131. This sole-source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) for the repair of the Olympus Bronchoscope model BT-1T160 for the OVERTON BROOKS MEDICAL CENTER. Services will be from 08/25/2014 - 09/30/2014 under NAICS 811219. This procurement involves the Repair of the Olympus Endoscopes that operates IAW specifications of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Statement of Work Refurbishment of Flexible Video Bronchoscope Background/Scope -Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA. Requires major refurbishment of an Olympus Model BF-1T160 Flexible Video Bronchoscope Objectives -To ensure the Bronchoscope is refurbished IAW specifications of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). -To ensure any parts utilized to refurbish the Bronchoscope meet OEM specifications -To ensure the refurbishment of the Bronchoscope is performed by an OEM trained, certified service provider Tasks -Major refurbishment of Flexible Video Bronchoscope, Model BF-1T160, s/n 1412028, EE# 26141 -All parts and labor for the major refurbishment will be included at no additional cost -Return shipping of the gastroscope will be included at no additional cost Government-Furnished Property -Flexible Video Bronchoscope, Model BF-1T160, s/n 1412028, EE# 26141 Place of Performance -All work will be performed at contractor's repair facility This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties must respond to this notice no later than 8:00 am on August 25, 2014 to tina.harris3@va.gov. Responding as an interested party under the www.fbo.gov website doesn't constitute convincing evidence of capabilities. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) now SAM at in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. No telephone calls will be accepted.
