Description: The proposed contract action is for commercial items, which Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to Penumbra 1351 Harbor Bay Parkway, Alameda, California 94502, Phone 1-949-331-8286 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This is a COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number N00259-14-T-0222 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The closing date is 22nd July 2014 @ 8:00a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.
