- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is VA-244-14-Q-1172 and it is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offerors are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code is 332992 Successful offer will be the one that provides the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System has a requirement for the commodities listed below in Schedule. All work will be performed at the vendors facility and then delivered to VA Pittsburgh, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. All communication regarding quotes, questions, etc. shall be submitted by email to Ronald Kline (Ronald.Kline@VA.Gov). Phone calls will not be accepted. Quotes are due by12:00 PM, Eastern Time, on 07-22-14. Quotes shall be submitted by email. Please read the entire solicitation. This ammunition will be utilized on a quarterly basis for training and qualifications. Delivery must be 10 days prior to the start of each quarter in the amounts specified in the Cost schedule. B.DESCRIPTION OF ITEM SCOPE OF WORK: TRAINING AMMUNITION SPECIFICATIONS: 9mm, 124gr, full metal jacket, ball round, steel casing is not authorized. Must meet Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute specifications. Approximately 46,000 rounds used annually and must be broken down into cases (approx. 92 cases) with 500 rounds in each case. Approximately 23 cases per quarter (3 months) will need to be available for a single purchase, 4 times throughout the year. DUTY AMMUNITION SPECIFICATIONS: 9mm, must be Remington Arms Golden Saber, 124gr, brass jacket hollow point (no substitutes). Approximately 7000 rounds used annually and must be broken down into cases (approx. 14 cases) with 500 rounds in each case. Approximately 3.5 cases per quarter (3 months) will need to be available for a single purchase, 4 times throughout the year.
