- 14-012651/14-013626 Notice of Intent: National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC), 10 Center Drive, Building 10, Room B1N238, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to Philips Healthcare, Division of PENAC, 22100 Bothell Everett Highway, Bothell, WA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c) (1)--Only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS Code is 811219. This will be a firm fixed price purchase order. This requirement is for technology upgrades and maintenance services on 3 each existing iE33 Ultrasound units. Services to be provided consist of but are not limited to the following: 1. Latest update to the base software for the iE33 system with additional new functionality if appropriate to the platform and options including Live 3D acquisition improvements, Live 3D Dual Display, SmartExam Echo App functionality, Live 3D and iRotate in SmartExam, iRotate now on X7-2, enhanced QLAB 3DQ advanced software, and new CMQ plug-ins for Left Ventricle global function and regional wall motion. 2. Latest generation xMATRIX transducer with PureWave Crystal Technology. xMATRIX transducer with 5 to 1 MHz extended operating frequency range for adult echo applications in 2D, Live xPlane and Live 3D modes. Highly-functional, ergonomic design that operates in all common imaging modes, making it practical for everyday use. 3. Cardiac Motion Quantification (CMQ) is based on 2D speckle tracking technology, CMQ provides a method for assessing global and regional cardiac function. This is not a Request for Quote. Sources interested in this requirement must provide a statement of capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met. Response must be in writing and must be received within seven (7) calendar days from the date of this notice sent to Deborah Culpepper, dculpepper@cc.nih.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There is no solicitation package available.
