- Estimated solicitation issue date 31 July 2014, Estimated Close Date 31 August 2014 PR# - FD2030-14-01185 Nomenclature/Noun - Valve, Check NSNs - NSN: 4820005089145, P/N: 9-35051-501 Application (Engine or Aircraft) - B-52 AMC - 2C Description: This item opens and closes door to expose inflight refueling receptacle. Requested Delivery: on or before 28 Oct 2015. Early delivery is acceptable. Qty: Qty Range from Min 1 each to Max 8 each. The current requirement is 5 each. New Manufacture only. Surplus is not acceptable. Mandatory Language: Qualification requirement exist. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources, in accordance with clause, Qualification Requirements 52.209-1. The Government is NOT required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Request (SAR). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved sources. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. Prequalification of alternate sources is required to maintain part quality and reliability. Currently, Boeing, Cage Code 81205, is the only known source for NSN 4820005089145. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Interested persons/firms may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal or quotation. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested sources may submit a capability statement, quotation or proposal that will be considered by the government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
