Description
This project is located in Brownsville, Texas and is set-aside exclusively for small business firms with NAICS Code 238220. The General Services Administration (GSA) shall only issue the solicitation for this project in an electronic (PDF) format. The General Services Administration (GSA) is soliciting proposals for a project called Gateway Land Port Of Entry (LPOE), HVAC Replacement and Building Automation System (BAS) Integration. The Contractor shall furnish all of the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision to accomplish the work as noted in the solicitation documents. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Replace several DX air handler units with Chilled Water units including all required electrical and plumbing. Replacement of several HVAC components such as valves, blower motors, drain pans, etc. All new controls shall be integrated with the existing BAS system. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 7/29/14 with a proposal due date on or about 9/3/14. A pre-proposal conference will be held on or about 8/20/14 with the exact date, time and location to be determined. An RSVP is requested from all attendees so sufficient materials will be available for distribution. Attendance at this conference is considered to be vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Attending this conference is not mandatory but failure to attend the meeting may not be used as an excuse for omissions and miscalculations in offers. A bid bond (20% of proposal value) is required for this project. Insurance verification as well as Performance and Payment Bonds will be required following award, pursuant to the Miller Act. The Period of Performance (PoP) for the project is 98 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Liquidated damages will be incurred for each day of delay beyond the total time allowed for this project. Liquidated Damages for this project will be $274.00 per calendar day of delay.
