- SOW for Wayfinding Signage Phase 2 The Library of Congress, Office of Contracts and Grants Management, has a requirement for a contractor to upgrade and modernize the signage program to support the LOC's operational and compliance requirements, as well as, enhance the visitors experience within LOC facilities. Space Utilization, Planning and Design (SUPD) requires specilialized expertise in the fabrication and installation of wayfinding, room and floor identity, notifier, directories, life-safety, regulatory, and informational signs for large scale, government facilities. The objective of this requirement is to obtain fabrication and installation of signage for Information, emergency preparedness, public space identifiers and event info flooring a multiple sites located on the Library of Congress Capitol Hill Campus according to schedule and budget. The intent of the procurement is to obtain product, fabricatin, and installation, of interior signange and wayfinding product based on the Library's design specifications. In March 2011, the LOC accepted the 2/90 Sign System Standard Series product as the design solution that best reflects a changeable and cost effective interior signage program, allowing for ease of in-house or contractor performed updates. The design also meets the specific and unique goals and graphic standards of the Library of Congress. The Library's Interior Signage & Wayfinding program is based on the design and product provided by 2/90. The design that was created by 2/90 for The Library of Congress is protected by the AIA "Instruments of Service", this states the architect's designs, drawings, and specification are intellectual property of the individual or company that produced the design. The Library of Congress needs all signage to be consistent in design, colors, size and application throughout all buildings. New signage must integrate with the current signage system utilized by the Library of Congress - 2/90 Modular Standard Series. The Library intends o issue this requirement as a sole source order to: 2/90 Sign Systems, 5300 Corporate Grove Blvd, SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement must submit a capability statement that demonstrates ists ability to meet all the requirements described in the attached SOW.
