Description
Amendment to PM2-14-039 Market Survey to reflect correct date of notice and submission date of market survey responses. ***AMENDMENT*** Updated Market Survey PM2-14-039 attachment. Survey updated to reflect correct date of notice and submission date of market survey responses. **************** MSC REQUESTS INFORMATION REGARDING VENDORS' ABILITY TO PROVIDE ONE (1) U.S. FLAG VESSEL TO SUPPORT THE U.S. NAVY. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE WHETHER AN OPTION ON AN EXISTING CONTRACT WILL BE EXERCISED. SPECIFICS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1. AREA OF OPERATIONS: Operations are anticipated to be conducted in Southeast Asia littoral waters; however, the vessel should be able to operate in a wide range of areas worldwide. It is intended for the vessel to be on station conducting independent operations in a remote environment. 2. SCOPE OF WORK: The U.S. flagged vessel will function as a Maritime Support Vessel (MSV) supporting various size craft both organic and non-organic. The vessel will serve as host to approximately 30 military personnel for 30 days without re-supply as well as provide a platform to launch and recover, refuel and rearm, and assist with limited maintenance for small boats. In addition, the vessel will provide equipment stowage, messing, berthing, administrative/operational space, maintenance space, emergency towing and logistics services in support of Maritime Security Operations. The support vessel facilities are to be available during both day and night time operations. The Contractor shall operate all deck equipment to include cranes, winches, vessel launch/recovery systems, and all refueling evolutions/stations. 3.
