- Description
- 1 - Will our physicians on call only have physicians or extenders on the other end of the line? In other words, will our physicians on call have to deal with any calls from/to patients? R-Consultation is to providers only, there will be no direct patient or family contact. 2 - Can you identify the number of female patients who are eligible for potential on call questions? This will help us gauge the number of potential calls. R-Variable 3 - Will our on call physicians have to document any calls? If yes, how will they do that without access to Vista/CPRS? No-VA staff will document calls. 4 - For the administrative portion, will the provider need a VPN for notes and such in the VA's CPRS? If so, would that require security and/or background investigation protocols? No-VA staff will document. 5 - Also, in sections 4.1.1.2 and 4.1.1.3 it states, ". ¦contractor's facility ¦" but since it's tele-Gyn, the provider may not be located in the general area at all. Therefore, does the VA currently have protocols in place to refer VA Minneapolis patients that may require services/procedures to be performed at an off-site facility that the tele-GYN provider can refer them to? With VA Surgery/Specialty Care Director Approval. (i.e. same facility that VA uses now for those defined/required referrals.) If so, would the tele-GYN be required to have privileges at that facility or would the VA facility protocols allow for that scenario to occur since it's a VA Minneapolis patient and overseen by the VA Surgery/Specialty Care Director? R-the contractor does not need to have Minneapolis VA Medical Staff privileges. If a referral is necessary, the MVAHC provider will do the referral.
