Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Central Iowa Health Care System (VA CIHCS) intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision in accordance with the plans and specifications to include, but not be limited to providing all the materials, equipment, etc. necessary to completely construct the VA CIHCS's project 636A6-14-901SL Sidewalk for Circle Drive Road in accordance with this Scope of Work, the contract documents, all applicable federal, state and local codes and NFPA. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to construct approximately 4,200 SF of 6-inch sidewalk, including letdowns (with detectable warning pads) around the southeast side of buildings 1 and 4, and along and adjacent to the south curb line of VFW Circle Drive Road in order to provide pedestrian access. Work shall include, but not be limited to demolition of existing PCC curb and gutter, relocation of an existing hydrant and a permanent control point (brass disc set in concrete), and reseeding and sod, including turf reinforcement matting (TRM) of disturbed areas. Applications of all pavement markings are to be included, such as pedestrian crosswalks and sidewalk letdowns. All refuse, including concrete shall be hauled off site and properly disposed of. Work is to be completed within 30 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the SAMs database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to angelique.mabley@va.gov. Solicitation Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for August 1, 2014. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for September 3, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. (CST-local time), on 3rd Floor, Room 310 at West Park, 5435 NW 100th Street, Johnston, IA 50131 but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 237310, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Magnitude is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
