- This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government for follow-on acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Require the following: The purchase of a Benchtop Cooling Tower. With the following specifications: General Benchtop forced draught cooling tower with integral load and make-up tanks, circulating pump, complete with all necessary instruments. Basic Unit Constructed from impact-resistant plastic and houses load tank with 0.5 and 1 kW heaters and float level control, makeup tank, bronze circulating pump, air fan, electrical control panel, and digital temperature indicator. Dimensions are not to exceed 120 cm by 45 cm by 75 cm. Data Acquisition Data acquisition system comprising all necessary transducers to allow all relevant parameters to be simultaneously displayed and recorded on a PC (PC provided by customer). Packed Column 1 Constructed from transparent PVC with eight decks of inclined laminated plastic packing, water distribution troughs, and pressure taps. Packing density is 110 m2 per m3 (square meters per cubic meter). Colum outside dimensions are 60 cm by 15 cm by 15 cm. Packed Column 2 Same as column 1 but with packing density 77 m2 per m3 (square meters per cubic meter). Colum outside dimensions are 60 cm by 15 cm by 15 cm. Packed Column 3 Same as column 1 but with packing density 200 m2 per m3 (square meters per cubic meter). Colum outside dimensions are 60 cm by 15 cm by 15 cm. Packed Column 4 Same as column 1 but with no packing - empty. Colum outside dimensions are 60 cm by 15 cm by 15 cm. Packed Column 5 Similar to column 3 but with packing arranged to allow measurement of air and water properties within column. Fitted with thermocouple sensors, selector switch, and digital thermometer. Colum outside dimensions are 90 cm by 15 cm by 25 cm. Physical Dimensions as stated above. All electronic cabling to connect to house power and USB cable to computer provided by vendor. Utilities 1.6 kW 110-120 VAC, single phase 60 Hz with earth ground. No cooling air or water or other gases are required from USMA physical infrastructure. Distilled water provided by customer contained in internal circulating loop from base unit through column and back to base unit flowing at 2k/hr flow rate. Warranty One year on-site service warranty. Includes all parts, labor and travel. Installation and Training English-language manual included, with suggested student experiments. Customer will install unit. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
